Vladswim and Iswimhappyare joining forces to present a "Cold Water Qualifying Extravaganza" in Hobart, April 23-24, 2027.
This amazing collaboration offers an immersive and educational experience for aspiring cold water and channel swimmers. The weekend is designed to be more than just a qualifying opportunity; it's a chance to share knowledge, to learn, and have fun while pushing physical limits.
The swims, set in the cool waters of the Derwent River, will feature two swim sessions: 2hr night swim and 8 hours qualifying swim necessary for many official swims outside Australia. Out of the water, participants could gain invaluable knowledge on topics like cold water acclimation, nutrition, and mental resilience.
The collaboration combines the elite coaching of Vladswim with iSwimhappy's passion for fostering a supportive and enjoyable open water swimming community, ensuring a weekend that is both fun and focused on education and personal growth.
We would like to extend our invitation to you to visit Hobart, TAS and participate in the weekend of qualifying swims in the cool and beautiful waters of Derwent river and possibly Storm Bay. During the past few years water temperature at the end of April sits around 14-16c so it should be cold enough for most of the qual swims.
