COLD WATER QUAL SWIMS

Hello Open Water Swimming Lovers,
We would like to extend our invitation to you to visit Hobart, TAS and participate in the weekend of qualifying swims in the cool and beautiful waters of Derwent. This time of the year, water is guaranteed to be under 15c however, every so often, weather Gods can be bit difficult to work with.
Schedule of events*:
Thursday,
@17:00 2hr night swim ( location TBA) Following by semi-organised “team dinner”
Friday,
@08:00 2hr – 8hr qualification swims ( location ~ Sandy Bay / Kingston )
Saturday,
@08:00 2hr – 8hr qualification swims ( location ~Sandy Bay / Kingston )
Sunday
AM session ( location and activities TBA but it will be fun )
Location of the swimCourse will be based on the best possible weather on a day. With an ~1.5km loop set, in a close proximity to the shore and multiple safety vessels it will be a great swim!
Water safety & support vessels, warm shower & drinks, snacks, towel & beanie and, most importantly, good company will be there for you. Don’t forget to bring some warm clothes though…
